Neely Floyd is a recent graduate of East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor in Music Education. While at school, she played oboe in the Symphonic Band as well as participated in several aspects of the Tiger Marching Band including color guard and serving one year as drum major. She also participated in the school’s woodwind ensemble, hand bell choir, and a small vocal ensemble called Reflection. Outside of school, Ms. Floyd played oboe in the Marshall Symphony Orchestra, East Texas Symphonic Band, and played for colleges and churches around the East Texas area. She was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a music fraternity, where she served as corresponding secretary, editor, and president. While in SAI she received the Honored Member Award, the Scholastic Award, and the Sword of Honor. Ms. Floyd served as a school representative in the role of Miss ETBU from 2006-2007 and worked as a Resident Assistant in dorms from 2005-2007.
Ms. Floyd is a graduate of Keller High School in Keller, TX where she was involved in the Keller High School Marching Band. While in high school she participated in Pit percussion, winter drumline, color guard, winter guard, and served as drum major for three years.
Ms. Floyd enjoys reading, jogging, shopping, Christmas, photography, and spending time with friends and family. She is currently moving to Dallas and excited to be close to her family in the area.
