Chris Jones recently graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s in Music Education. While in school, Mr. Jones performed with the UTA Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Percussion Ensemble, Maverick Marching Band, and various world/chamber ensembles. During his time in the UTA Percussion Ensemble, Mr. Jones performed in many world premieres and consortiums, including the premiere of his own work “Blossoms” at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention. He was also a Front Ensemble member of many WGI/DCI groups, including Vigilantes Indoor Percussion, Rhythm X, Spirit of Atlanta, and The Cavaliers. Mr. Jones has recently worked with several schools across the DFW area, achieving many first place finishes at both fall and winter drumline contests. Currently, he serves as an audio engineer for the Phantom Regiment and assists their sound designer in the creation of Ableton files for marching bands across the country. Mr. Jones is excited to work with all the students and staff members in the North Mesquite cluster!
