Mr. King is excited to be the Associate Band Director at North Mesquite High School. Prior

to North Mesquite, Mr. King was an Assistant Band Director at Sachse High School and

North Forney High School, where his ensembles consistently received superior ratings. He

is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where he studied saxophone and proudly

served as a drum major of the Green Brigade Marching Band for three seasons. In addition,

Mr. King debuted three new works for the baritone saxophone in 2025 as a part of the

“Baripalooza” Consortium, was a featured soloist for Orion Winds, who placed 4th at the

2019 WGI World Championships in the Independent World Class division, and also

marched at The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2020-2021, where he played the

mellophone.
